Nene Valley Archaeological Trust will be exhibiting at a Society of Antiquaries event in London on Friday 19th July 2019 from 2pm-8pm.
The Society of Antiquaries provided funding towards the comprehensive magnetometry survey of Durobrivae commissioned by NVAT towards the end of 2018. The survey undertaken by a team from Durham University revealed detail of the layout of buildings and streets never before seen.
The Grants Research Showcase coincides with the "Burlington House Courtyard Late" where the courtyard societies open their doors to the general public. It will be of interest both to those who come specifically for the event and also passers-by on their way to the Royal Academy.
This event offers our grant recipients the opportunity to present their work at Burlington House through table-top displays, talks, and interactive workshops. The aim is to raise public interest in and awareness of material culture by showcasing significant research that the Society has supported.
